The Poiana Red Wine from the Il Calamaio farm is a true Tuscan Sangiovese.

Poiana is initially the product of a strictly manual harvest, obtained from three different Sangiovese vineyards in different positions

They are vinified separately and then rejoin as in a fairytale with a happy ending, after fermentation and tartaric precipitation.

The alcoholic fermentation (8-12 days) is followed by that in steel, then in barriques and finally in the bottle, where they remain for the last two months.

The meeting of these three related vineyards results in a wine with a strong ruby color, not heavy, dry on the nose. You can find aromas of currants, raspberries and blackberries, with floral notes of violets.
